Marriage Ministry


Our Mission Statement: “To turn lost people into sold-out followers of Christ by coming alongside those in need and providing Biblical tools in order to strengthen marriages.”

Our Key Scripture Verse: “Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ… Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church - a love marked by giving, not getting.”

What We Do

LSCC’s Marriage Ministry currently offers these services to the members of our church:
  • Marriage Enrichment Classes (based on the popular “Fireproof” movie)
  • Marriage Mentoring (using the proven Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott materials)
  • Sponsor Marriage Seminars and related marriage-focused events
  • Write articles for LSCC’s newsletters and publications
  • Maintain a library of marriage-related materials as a resource for married couples

Why We Do What We Do

We believe that God created the marriage institution to benefit husbands and wives, families, children and society. We also believe that marriages in America are in serious trouble, and if unaided, the current failure trend will only worsen. We therefore prayerfully submit ourselves to God’s Will, and are committed to doing what we can to promote His Will to strengthen marriages within our church and community.

Who We Are

Our team is made up of several married couples from LSCC. We come from many different backgrounds, including past failed marriages, and although none of us claim to have achieved the “perfect marriage,” we are each striving for that goal.

We have each gained unique perspectives in our individual marriage journeys. With this perspective, and our commitment to strengthen marriages in our church and community, we are feel we are uniquely equipped to accomplish our Mission Statement.
