Children's Ministry
Kids at LSCC simply grow up in our Share-Connect-Minister-Disciple process! From the moment our babies arrive in our nursery, our teachers are telling them about how Jesus loves them and how church is a great place to be. As our toddlers grow into our early childhood classes they connect with teachers, helpers, and friends that will move with them into our elementary classes. During those years the kids are connecting and realizing that kids can minister, too, as they move into helper roles in their own classroom as well as with the “little” kids, too. As they share their faith with friends who don’t know Jesus, they start to move into the disciple phase and they start being kids who are now helping other kids turn into life-long, sold-out followers of Jesus. All of which is fine tuned as they move into our student ministries programs and into adulthood. Life-long, sold-out followers of Jesus - sharing, connecting, ministering, discipling – that’s what Children’s Ministry at LSCC is all about!
Meet CRASH!, our Children's Ministry mascot.
Crash! is a rhino, a slightly nearsighted little guy who can't really see too far ahead but is ready to commit to the future and stampede ahead with all he's got. Remind you of any kids you know?
We chose
Crash! because that's what you call a group of rhinos. Plus, when Crash! is used as an adjective it means "to use all possible resources, effort and speed" to achieve a result. And that's what our Children's Ministry is all about.
Here is how we spell Crash!
And that's Children's Ministry that will leave a mark!
